Open Interest
The value of unsettled derivative positions.
Open interest tracks how much derivative exposure is currently active in the market.
Rising open interest with rising price often signals aggressive participation, while rising open interest into flat price can signal leverage congestion.
It is most useful when read together with funding, liquidations, and spot volume.
